Chiropractic helps to improve posture, function, and remove joint dysfunctions that can accumulate in our bodies over time. Chiropractic works by correcting these problems, restoring your ability to be functional and pain free. Studies show that people who seek chiropractic care for back pain first have less pain and tend to have less back surgery than those who seek other care first. And don’t forget we don’t just treat back and neck pain, chiropractors effectively treat all the joints in the body as well as sports injuries, headaches and more!

Chiropractic care is an excellent way to keep your body at its peak performance through nutrition, adjustments, and overall physical and mental wellness.

An “adjustment” is the minor movement of a joint in the spine, foot, shoulder, or any other area of the body. The objective of this movement is to restore proper motion that has been altered for a number of reasons ranging from normal daily activity to trauma such as a car accident or sports injury.

An adjustment is often a quick and deliberate movement from the chiropractor utilizing the hands or an instrument to move a joint. It is often without discomfort. You may hear a noise that sounds like the cracking of knuckles referred to as joint cavitation. It is, in reality, the release of gases such as oxygen and nitrogen within the joint capsule.  If you are nervous or fearful about your first adjustment, be sure to address your concerns with your doctor.
