Jaw Pain & TMJ Dysfunction
Jaw pain can range from mild to excruciating and its cause can be hard to pinpoint. Stress, muscle imbalance, and dental work can all be factors in jaw pain. Stress can cause the unconscious clenching of your jaw which puts extra pressure on the joints and stresses the muscles. Muscle imbalance can occur without you even being aware of it. For example, if you chew more predominantly on one side than the other then you may be creating a muscle imbalance. Our doctors have great results treating jaw or TMJ pain. These treatments can include chiropractic adjustment, intra-oral muscle massage, and trigger point work.
