Electrical Stimulation is a therapy that runs low voltage current through the muscles causing them to contract and relax rapidly.  The effect of this action is overall relaxation of the muscles it is used on due to the work caused by the rapid contractions and releases.  It is similar to a rapid workout.  The relaxation cause by electrical stimulation can help to release tension and ease pain caused by muscular damage or injury.
