Dr. Nick Peck, DC, MSc

I’m really excited to become a new provider at Active Life Chiropractic and Rehab! I graduated from University of Western States (UWS) with both my Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Masters of Sports Medicine. I have had a ton of different working experiences with some of the most notable being Japanese translator, International flight attendant, and massage therapist. As a result of the last one I incorporate soft tissue release and focus on a balance between muscles and ideal joint motion in most of my treatments. I have been a competitive swimmer most of my life so my expertise in sports medicine is fueled by lived experiences and evidence based research. Almost all of my patients will be taught how to do rehabilitation and strengthening exercises to give you the tools you can use at home to decrease and correct your pain. I care about how everyday habits, stress, and lifestyle choices impact our health and wellness and will seek to understand a patient’s goals for treatment and encourage you to reach them. I look forward to working with the wonderful patients here!

A bit more about me for those curious to keep reading past the synopsis. I swam all through high school and then was recruited to swim at Soka University of America in Southern California. It was there that my wonderful athletic trainer with her knowledge and care planted the seed that I would love to work with sports medicine and the human body. I had already been licensed as a massage therapist for a few years but didn’t want to do it full time, so I continued to massage on a part time basis while doing other various jobs, and boy have I had many different careers and interests over the years. Prior to going back to school to become a chiropractor I was working as an International Flight Attendant flying to Europe from Los Angeles and enjoying the lifestyle, but craving something more contributive. When the pandemic hit and we were all laid off it presented the perfect opportunity to pivot and go back to school. I began my chiropractic journey at Southern California University of Health Sciences. However, after a year and a half I was not enjoying the organization of the university or the lack of sports medicine training opportunities while in school and decided to transfer to University of Western States, and I am so happy I did. I felt I was much better aligned with the University and their resources, evidence based approach, and their facilities were incredible. The 3 month break while moving and allowing the transfer to process was also so incredibly important for my wellbeing and burnout from school during the pandemic. As a result I was really reinvigorated in my passion for this wonderful profession. I was able to graduate with both my doctorate and my masters from UWS summa cum laude.
