Chiropractic adjustments utilize forces applied to the body’s joints and tissues to restore motion to the spine and extremities. For many people adjusting can provide immediate relief to tight, painful joints and painful movements.

Manual Soft Tissue Therapy:
Muscle and other soft tissues such as ligaments and tendons can sometimes need more than an adjustment to relax and function properly. Our doctors perform various different types of soft tissue therapy, from light massage for relaxation to instrument-assisted techniques designed to break up scar tissue.
Soft tissue therapy is tailored to each patient’s specific needs,
and plays a big role in helping an adjustment “hold.”
Our doctors both received training in Sports Medicine while they were at the University of Western States and treating athletes is their passion. Whatever the sport, our doctors will prescribe specific exercises to strengthen and balance the muscles and keep the body working at a top level.
Our GOAL is to get you BACK in the GAME
Kinesiotaping is a method of taping utilizing specialized tape to support and stabilize muscles and joints without restricting the body’s ability to move naturally. We commonly use this technique to stabilize and support injured muscles to facilitate healing without the use of a brace. Bonus, it comes in pretty colors!
Nasal Specific Technique:
Dr. Kohn is one of the few doctors in the Portland and Tualatin area that perform the nasal specific technique. This technique has been performed by chiropractors for decades. You may be familiar with a similar technique called balloon sinuplasty. Nasal Specific involves inserting a balloon that resembles a finger on a latex glove into the nasal passageways and sinuses. The balloon is then inflated and quickly deflated, pushing back inflamed sinus tissue. This relaxes the mucous membranes and can promote drainage of blocked sinuses, relieving much of the pressure and stuffiness associated with chronic sinus conditions. The results can last from months to years.

Fluid in the inner ear can cause infections, discomfort, and sometimes hearing loss. With endonasal technique, Dr. Kohn manually drains the ear canal to relieve the feeling of fullness and pressure.

Dix Hallpike & Epley Maneuver
The Epley maneuver is a maneuver used to treat benign paroxysmal positional vertigo of the middle ear after confirmation of a diagnosis of BPPV using the Dix-Hallpike test and has a reported success rate of between 90–95%. It works by allowing free floating particles from the affected semicircular canal of the middle ear to be relocated using gravity, therefore relieving the patient of bothersome vertigo
Electrical Stimulation is a therapy that runs low voltage current through the muscles causing them to contract and relax rapidly. The effect of this action is overall relaxation of the muscles it is used on due to the work caused by the rapid contractions and releases. It is similar to a rapid workout. The relaxation cause by electrical stimulation can help to release tension and ease pain caused by muscular damage or injury.
